Recommit to Yourself
I know we are all familiar with the phrase “change is the one thing we can count on”. I am sure some of you hear that and want to shout “Noooo, I don’t want change, I am comfortable exactly where I am Gosh darn it!” Me, I look at change as a miraculous gift and making change is what pushes us to grow and advance in our lives.
Typically I spend the first few weeks of January reassessing my personal growth. It’s an opportunity for me to be hardcore, raw and honest with myself. I asked myself what worked in the past year, what goals did I achieve, and what area of my life do I need to put more energy into? I then tweak my vision or bigger picture and recommit. I recommit to my dreams knowing that in order to be living purposefully, I need to have a plan. It is in the moment of recommitting that I know change is coming.
Even if it feels uncomfortable, I invite the change into my space knowing that the outcome can only be greater than where I am in the moment.
I am inviting you to take some time to reevaluate. Are you wanting more in certain areas but are too chicken to go for it? Or maybe unclear? Let’s not allow our excuses to step in the way of creating what you deeply want.
Staying stuck is not why we are here on this earth. You have a much bigger responsibility than that! Yes, you! You have talents that the world needs. You have compassion and joy that needs to be spread, and you hold the key to fresh experiences. If you can accept that change is actually a great gift and not something to loathe or be afraid of, you too, will experience expansion in your life.
So I say recommit to what you want more of and then grab the opportunities that will take you there.
Here’s to playing full-out in life!
With true compassion,
Maggie
