Miracle Mind Mode: The 2-4-2 Formula
I woke up this morning with a thousand different thoughts in my head. That sounds a little anxiety producing, right?? Not for me though because here are some of the things that I heard
You are going to produce joy today
how blessed that you do the work you love to do
what another glorious morning
you are truly amazing
No joke, I even had a vision of rainbow glitter circling around in my head. And yes, I own my crazy!
But how many of you wake up with a kind, supportive voice? I am guessing not the majority of you. It is so easy for us to not honor the truth about ourselves and default into negative self-talk. Do you think your day might look different if you said I love you every morning verses don’t you look like shit or OMG it’s Monday again? Of course, it would. The first step to feeling happier is to open yourself up to the possibility that you can be happier.
You have the power to create a life that is filled with excitement and joy each and every day. This is what I call being in Miracle Mind Mode. It means you are seeing everything from the view of what’s right and good instead of wrong and lacking. It is about taking responsibility and being conscious of each and every choice you make. The key to building this reality is by taking the time to work on your mindset and look at how you are being. Miracle Mind Mode is the process of shifting the perception of how you view yourself, others, and the world.
What if you took a few minutes each day to simply honor and connect with yourself? What if you made a conscious choice with how you want to be and not let your experiences dictate that? Do you think that would impact all the other things that you do?
I without a doubt say YES.
All it takes is 3 steps per day. I call it The 2-4-2 Formula Two minutes of meditating, 4 minutes of writing, and 2 minutes of affirming.
Meditation is a way in which we practice stillness. It’s all about breathing. Sit quietly and don’t worry about having a clear brain. Thoughts will be there. Just acknowledge them and let it go. Always bring yourself back to your breath if you are distracted. Meditation clears a path so you can hear answers on a deeper level. Some phone apps for meditation I love are Calm, Breathe, Living in Love, and Headspace. If you have an Alexa, skills can be enabled to support your meditation practice.
Journaling is a powerful tool that has known health benefits like reducing stress and being able to problem solve better. It is a way for you to focus your day and begin to shift perception. Start by setting an intention for the day. “My intention for today is ___________” Or “Today I am creating __________________”. Then begin to recognize all of the good in your life and write down your gratitude. Lastly, ask yourself what would you like to improve on or change for today. Maybe it is to smile more or finish a project you have been working on.
And last but so very important, Affirmation. You are powerful! Do you remember Wonder Woman standing with her hands on her hips? That is what I call power pose, baby! It is so important to affirm your intentions with gusto and strength! Standing in power pose, repeat your intentions out loud that you wrote down for 2 minutes. Affirm what you are choosing to improve.
“I am worthy of love and happiness”
“I will stand courageously in my choices today”
“I am enough”
It may feel funny at first, but it is amazing how you feel when you have completed the 2-4-2 formula. By taking the time to work on you, you will live a higher, more connected version of yourself, rainbow glitter and all!
