Coaching is about looking at where you are presently and where you would like to go in the future. Coaches focus on the future with the strategy of positive psychology. While we may use therapy tools, our intention is always to mirror a mindset shift with an external goal in the world. It’s not just about healing; it’s about positively creating.
Some clients know exactly where they want to land and others lack a clear vision or the idea of a new vision is overwhelming. Maybe you have some general ideas on what you want—to start a business, to help people, to be more authentic, but you need more clarity on how to get there. We will outline a vision and set goals and specific actions to get to where you want to go.
Typically, when clients are working towards a goal roadblocks will appear. So at the same time that you are taking action, we are looking at any limiting beliefs that are standing in your way of you reaching your goals. Most of the time, our beliefs are formed out of wounds. The difference between those who are happy and sad are the ones who have learned to let go of pain. Many people choose to hold onto their pain and wounds, much like holding a beach ball under the ocean. Some people feel they can push it down, but distress has its way of creeping up on you. I will support you in breaking down these barriers which will liberate you and allow you to move forward.
