My Spiritual Connectivity
“When wisdom arises, our inherent power as a being naturally arises as well, and then we begin to view things differently. We begin to see things based on the truth that we have found inside, not the truth that is
imposed by others on us.”
― M. Laurie Cantil, A Magician’s Visit
Ever since I was a little girl, I felt a deep connection to nature. When I walked in the woods or felt the coarse sand in between my toes on a warm beach, I felt like I was a part of something much greater than me. In those moments, I was perfect. My heart was full and I felt a connection to all things around me. There was a presence with me, inside of me that I knew I was my well of wisdom and where the truth resided.
This was the beginning of my spiritual curiosity and journey of defining it in my life. I began a quest to discover the deeper meaning of my life.
In high school, I remember being given a book called Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach and reading The Way of The Peaceful Warrior by Dan Millman. These books were so inspiring to me it shifted how I saw the world. I went to an alternative college and sat in Quaker meetings. I was thirsty to find my true meaning in my experiences and learn about what faith meant to me. For several years I studied The Course In Miracles which allowed me to see life through a new lens. I have practiced the art of meditation in many forms over the years. I have experienced Buddhist Temples, Catholic Cathedrals and I was a member of The Unity Church for many years where all religions and prophets that teach the truth of love are embraced. I have had the amazing opportunity to work with many spiritual leaders of our time like Debbie Ford, Kelley Kosow, Mary Morrissey, and Jeff Malon.
I have learned on this spiritual journey that there is one common denominator. LOVE, Love of ourselves and love for one another. Love is the connection to us all. I know without a doubt that this is our truth and purpose in life. Love allows me to continually grow, evolve and to connect with our inner knowing.
I believe that my spiritual experiences have brought me the joy that I feel today in my life. These experiences shaped how I view the world and how I deal with contrast. I have had many hurdles to jump over the years but it was the belief that love is always the answer and my willingness to trust my inner wisdom that helped me to reap the gifts from times of desperation and to continue powerfully on my journey.
Do you feel the power of your own inner knowing? How do you show love to yourself or to others? Give yourself the time and space to connect with that wisdom that resides within you. It is filled with answers, opportunities, and inspiration. It will pave the path that will support you in your continued evolution.
With love,
Maggie
